Kamikaze Girls - Internet Movie Download Sites Heads Up

Wow! I really loved the movie Kamikaze Girls. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Kyko Fukada deliver some award-winning performances in this movie. I also think Anna Tsuchiya was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Kyko Fukada and Anna Tsuchiya worked wonderful in Kamikaze Girls. The great supporting cast includes Kyko Fukada, Anna Tsuchiya, Hiroyuki Miyasako, Sadao Abe, Eiko Koike.

You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!

Summary of Kamikaze Girls:
Kooky, kinetic, and colorful, 2004's Kamikaze Girls is a delight, and one that could only have come from Japan. Our principal character and narrator is Momoko (Kyoko Fukada), the 17-year-old product of a highly dysfunctional marriage who wishes she'd lived in 18th Century France, during the Rococo age; instead, she and her bonnets and frilly dresses are stuck in Japan's rural outback, where she abides by a philosophy that claims, "If I can't live independently, I'd rather be a water flea." Enter Ichigo (Anna Tsuchiya), a tough-talking, head-butting, scooter-riding thug who doesn't know rococo from rock & roll, and whom the haughty Momoko deplores and mostly ignores--at least until they're brought together by, of all things, embroidery (Momoko's good at it, Ichigo needs some for her biker threads). Suffice it to say that these two oddballs form a union of sorts, and Kamikaze Girls (entitled Shimotsuma Monogatari in Japanese) ultimately delivers a fairly straightforward message about independence, loneliness, and friendship. But getting there is quite a trip. Director and co-writer Tetsuya Nakashima combines live action, animation, special effects, fourth-wall asides, fantasy sequences, and more in a dazzling onslaught of images; in that way, as well as in its overall outlook ("Humans are cowards in the face of happiness," says one character), the film is somewhat reminiscent of Amelie. True, Kamikaze Girls lacks the full measure of that French film's grace, heart, and charm. But for sheer imaginativeness and cinematic virtuosity, this one's hard to beat. --Sam Graham

Armageddon - As Good As The Show

Armageddon- has always been a favorite of mine.Through out the movie, Andy Lau simply shines. Michelle Reis actually caught my interest too.

I think Andy Lau and Michelle Reis worked wonderful in Armageddon. The great supporting cast includes Andy Lau, Michelle Reis, Anthony Wong Chau-Sang, Claudia Lau, Jessica Chau (II).

If you are a true like Armageddon, you will want to add this movie to your collection.

Summary of Armageddon:
Like a high-tech version of the Christian apocalypse tale Left Behind with a skeptical skew, Gordon Chan's Armageddon (not to be confused with the Bruce Willis giant asteroid adventure of the same name) haphazardly combines end-of-the-world prophecies from various faiths with a murky X-Files-like mystery. The world's greatest scientists spontaneously combust after receiving a cryptic note ("You Have No Choice"), and communications genius Andy Lau (Savior of the Soul) is roused from mourning the death of his fiance to investigate. Anthony Wong (Hard-Boiled) costars as his buddy and bodyguard, a shaggy, sloppy street cop out of place in the high-tech environment, and Michelle Reis (Fong Sai Yuk) is the dead girlfriend who steps out of his flashbacks and into his life, like a ghost providing him with clues. The darkly handsome film is more tech noir than action thriller, with a spiritual undercurrent, a serious tone, and a slow, moody buildup. Chan breathes some excitement into the otherwise somber film with some intriguing effects and a striking climax, but he never really clears up the cryptic mystery. Still, he got the jump on Hollywood. Produced and released in 1997, when the fear of Hong Kong's return to China was investing everything from gangster movies to costume epics with a rumbling, paranoid sense of confusion, his millennial thriller is at least as interesting as the U.S. attempts that followed (End of Days, Stigmata, Lost Souls) and certainly more fun. --Sean Axmaker
